A daily job search through France Travail
The author let an n8n workflow read his profile, write an application and send it with Gmail. The source is France Travail, and his CV is kept as code.

What was done
On 19 February 2026 the author writes in r/n8n that an n8n workflow runs daily for his job search. It reads the profile via Jina AI, builds searches, fetches listings and skips those already in a Google Sheet. A model picks matches, writes a tailored cover letter and an application pack, sends them with Gmail and logs them in the sheet. The setup is n8n, Google Gemini, Jina AI, Gmail and Google Sheets. The job source is hardwired to the France Travail API, the French public employment service. A side path checks out a GitHub branch, edits the CV as YAML, runs a GitHub Action to PDF and attaches the PDF. He writes that this path is specific to him, and that you can remove ~15 nodes and attach a static PDF. The whole workflow is ~51 nodes. The JSON file is on GitHub.
How it went
He lets the workflow send the applications. The post does not say how many went out, or whether he got a reply.
Worth knowing
The source is France Travail. Others must swap the API, as he writes. The CV as code is his setup. The number of applications and replies is not in the post.
How to do it
- Put the profile and the CV where the workflow reads them. Ask it to list matches in the sheet before it writes a letter.
- Read each cover letter against the role. Remove what does not match the CV.
- Say yes before anything is sent with Gmail. Let the sheet show what actually went out.
Try it with n8n
Read [profile] and [CV]. Find roles, skip any already in [sheet], and draft one application per match. Do not send email until I say yes. Do not invent experience.
Replace text in brackets with your own.
Done when. The drafts have been read, and no email has been sent unless you said yes.
Safety rule. No application is sent until you have read the letter and said yes.
