What was done

On 23 August 2026 u/steve228uk writes in r/GrokBot that the bot Money Man has read-only access to Monzo. It saw that he had spent 67 pounds on coffee at Starbucks in 30 days. When Adobe was to be cancelled, they charged a 52-pound fee. After his approval the bot opened the live chat and got the fee waived. It also noticed he had both Uber One and Disney+, and said both could be had for 49.99 pounds a year. Keeper has booked an eye test and requested medication. He takes 12 pills a day and otherwise forgets the prescription. The job hunter has not applied for a role yet.

How it went

The 52-pound cancellation fee was waived after the chat. The post does not say the Uber and Disney offer was bought. Applications have not been sent.

Worth knowing

The bank is read-only. The cancellation in the chat happened after a yes. An offer of 49.99 pounds is not the same as a purchase. Check the original. This is not advice about your subscriptions. The prescription is his own routine, not something the prompt below asks you to do.

How to do it

  1. Give read access to the bank, not a right to pay.
  2. Ask for a list of charges you do not recognise. Say yourself what may be cancelled.
  3. Read the chat before the agent writes anything that binds you. Fees should be confirmed in writing.
