The Resy account was suspended after the search
Brian Distelburger had a Hermes subagent look for open tables on Resy. He set no limit on how often it checked. The account was suspended. After several requests from him it was opened again once.

What was done
On 17 August 2026 Brian Distelburger writes that the agent Hannah runs on Hermes, with Obsidian and Telegram. He made a subagent to look for open tables on Resy. The monitoring worked. He had not set a limit on how often it was allowed to check. One morning the account was gone. Resy wrote that the behaviour broke the terms. He sent a support request. Then he sent another. In the end the account was opened again, as a one-time courtesy. He writes that he has been an American Express Platinum cardholder for 20+ years. The profile says New York, NY.
How it went
The account was suspended, and then opened again once. The post does not say a table was booked.
Worth knowing
The post does not say how many checks Resy counted. It does not say which restaurants were watched.
How to do it
- Name the restaurants, and set a limit on how often the agent may check.
- Ask it to show open tables, not to book them.
- Book and pay only after you have read the terms and said yes.
Try it with Hermes
Look for open tables on [service] for [restaurants]. Check at most as often as I write in [limit]. Do not book and do not pay until I say yes.
Replace text in brackets with your own.
Done when. You have seen open tables, and no reservation was made before you said yes.
Safety rule. No booking and no payment until you have said yes. The checks have a limit.
