Calls at the home-service firm summarised in Slack

Logan Robison connected Grok Bot to the phone system at his business. The bot sends a summary to Slack after calls. He writes that he could downgrade the phone subscription by 250 dollars.

Done with Grok BotModerate

This is a public report, not advice from Skatteetaten, NAV, Altinn or an accountant. Check figures, deadlines and decisions against the original.

What was done

On 28 August 2026 Logan Robison writes that he spent a few hours with Grok Bot in his home-service business. The profile says Arkansas. The bot listens to calls and sends a summary to Slack, tags the right people and adds tasks to the to-do list. It also searches the town's Reddit channel each day for posts he should see. He asked it to put the week's goals in Notion and to create calendar events and new follow-up scripts.

How it went

He writes that the setup saved him 250 dollars because he could downgrade the phone subscription. The post does not say the Reddit search has brought customers.

Worth knowing

He writes that he has only just started. Letting a bot listen to customer calls requires that callers are told where the law demands it. Check the original. This is not a finished routine for a business.

How to do it

  1. Connect the agent only to the phone system and the channel you administer.
  2. Ask it to write a short summary after a call: who, what was promised, and who should follow up.
  3. Read the summary before it becomes a task someone else acts on. Tell callers if an agent will process the call.

Try it with Grok Bot

Read the call in [phone system] and write a summary for [channel]: who called, what was agreed, and who should follow up. Do not reply to the customer. Do not post anything in public.

Replace text in brackets with your own.

Done when. The summary is in the channel, and no message has been sent to the customer unless you have read it.

Safety rule. The agent does not reply to the customer and does not post in public. You tell callers where that is required.

  • The enquiry becomes a task, the reply goes through Telegram

Toma built an n8n setup for customer enquiries. It creates a ClickUp task and notifies him on Telegram. He replies there himself. The agent can send email, update the status or close the thread from his reply.

  • One tenant message became two jobs

The author had an agent read tenant messages, split them by trade and send the jobs. It handles about two hundred messages a month and saves the operations manager close to fifteen hours a week. For a shop with a fixed reorder at 200 units he did not use an agent.
